Amazing, authentic Indian food in Salt Lake City. We ordered Lamb Rogan Josh and Malai Kofta - both out of this world. Super friendly service from everyone we encountered.
Ah, Mumbai House in Salt Lake City, where the curries are as spicy as the gossip in a Bollywood movie and the naan is fluffier than a cloud in the Himalayas. My dining experience there was nothing short of an epic adventure, complete with mouth-watering flavors and a dash of hilarity. Walking in, I was greeted by the aromatic symphony of spices that instantly transported me to the bustling streets of Mumbai. The decor was charming, blending modern comfort with a touch of Indian elegance. I took a seat, eagerly anticipating the culinary journey ahead. I started with the samosas, which were so crispy and golden that I briefly considered asking for their skincare routine. They were filled with a deliciously seasoned potato mixture that had me doing a little happy dance in my chair. My dining companion thought I was choking and nearly called for the waiter, but no, I was just overcome by samosa-induced joy. Next up was the chicken tikka masala, a dish so rich and flavorful it could probably afford to pay off my student loans. The tender chicken chunks were swimming in a creamy, tomato-based sauce that was the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. I wanted to dive into that bowl and live there forever. The garlic naan was another highlight, arriving at the table warm and buttery, with just the right amount of char. I used it to mop up every last bit of sauce, because wasting food this good should be a crime. The waiter caught me licking my fingers and gave me a knowing nod of approval. Clearly, I was doing it right. For dessert, I went with the gulab jamun, those syrup-soaked dumplings of delight. They were so sweet and decadent that I felt like I was committing a sin with each bite. By the time I finished, I was ready to roll myself out of the restaurant. All in all, Mumbai House offers an incredible dining experience that combines fantastic food with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Just be prepared to leave with a smile on your face, a full belly, and a mild case of spice-induced euphoria.
Surprisingly really good Indian food in Park City. Service was polite and efficient. Food came out quick, but delicious and very well spiced in both flavor and heat; I had medium spice. My faves were mango lassi, samosa and channa alo. Also had the chicken tikka masala and the lamb vindaloo; both were also good.
BEST Indian restaurant in SLC. Amazing & welcoming ambience, overly attentive service, delicious food and worth the expensive price point. ($15-20) per entree. I recommend to all my friends, even those who are weary about Indian cuisine. Has become a staple restaurant to get together with friends.
Mumbai House is a standout gem for Indian cuisine in town. As a family who loves Indian food and has tried numerous restaurants, we unanimously agree that Mumbai House tops the list. The flavors are authentic, and each dish is prepared with meticulous attention to detail, making every meal a delightful experience. What truly elevates Mumbai House is the exceptional service, particularly from Jessica, our waitress. She was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. From the vibrant ambiance to the delicious food and outstanding service, Mumbai House has become our go-to spot for Indian cuisine. Highly recommended!
The food here is wonderful! Service is excellent too! Probably one of the best Indian meals I've had in past 5 years! We ordered chicken Mumbai masala, tandoori chicken, saag paneer, saag sopar (soup) and garlic naan. Every dish was delicious! We will be back soon!
If you're craving an authentic Indian dining experience with exceptional flavors and top-notch service, this is a spot for you! Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the attentive staff who guided us through the menu with insightful suggestions. Our server, Naysan, recommended starting with their famous garlic naan, and it did not disappoint. Each bite was soft, pillowy, and infused with just the right amount of garlic--perfect for sopping up the flavorful curries to come. For our main course we tried the chicken tikka masala, a classic favorite. The dish arrived promptly, and the aroma alone was mouthwatering. The chicken was tender and bathed in a creamy tomato-based sauce that had layers of spices, providing a harmonious balance of heat and richness. This dish truly showcased the chef's mastery of traditional Indian flavors. What truly sets this place apart is their dedication to customer satisfaction. The team was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that every aspect of our meal was enjoyable. The ambiance was cozy, with tasteful decor that enhanced the dining experience. In addition to the standout dishes we tried, they have a diverse menu with options for vegetarians and meat-lovers alike. From fragrant biryanis to indulgent paneer dishes, there's something to please every palate. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Indian cuisine or exploring it for the first time, this is a must-visit restaurant.
Surprisingly, Utah has some really good Indian food and Mumbai House is the standard that the others are measured against. It has been around for quite some time and earned its spot at the top. Food is excellent across the board. The only knocks would be the service was a little slow and the serving sizes are on the smaller side with prices on the higher side. We ordered garlic naan which was great. 5/5 Tikka masala was really good 5/5 Coconut kurma was amazing, we ordered medium and it had some heat. But very tasty. 5/5 Biriani rice was also very good. 5/5
Super tasty Indian restaurant! We took a pit stop in Salt Lake City when we were on our way to snowboard in Park City. Amazing time snowboarding over there btw. Over here, We ordered the garlic naan, biryani, and tandoori meats!! It was really tasty. The biryani was really spiced in a good way and the garlic naan was really tasty. The tandoori flavor was great. The service was great and the restaurant had a great ambiance. Our waitress was very kind and I really appreciated everything that they did. They were quick to refill our beverages when they were getting low and they really did their best in making sure that our time there went as smoothly as possible. If im ever back in Salt Lake City, I am for sure coming back to this place!
